Angels Landing is considered a dangerous hike due to several factors:
- It is steep and narrow, especially towards the the end.
- Walter's wiggles is a tough series of switchbacks (especially when frozen over)
- The end is exposed and unprotected at it's most treacherous part.
- The trail is often wet or slippery, requiring the use of chains while hiking
- Thunderstorms come in fast during the most popular hiking months.
