This print maps the full 26.2 mile course from Hopkinton to Boylston Street in the classic blue and yellow of the Boston Marathon. Every turn, every town, and every hill is shown in high-resolution detail Including the four Newton Hills and Heartbreak Hill at mile 20, the climb that has ended more race goals than any other half mile in running.
The course trends downhill overall but don't let that fool you. The total elevation gain is 165 meters and the Newton Hills between miles 16 and 21 hit when your legs have nothing left. Anyone who has run it knows that. Anyone who wants to run it needs to know that too.
